Privacy Policy

**Last Updated:** July 29, 2025

1. Introduction

Skyline Youth Lacrosse (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of visitors to (https://www.skylinelaxutah.com) (the “Site”). This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and how you can exercise your privacy rights.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when voluntarily submitted:

- **Contact information:** name, email, subject, message via the Contact form.
- **Automatically collected data:** IP address, browser type, pages visited (if analytics are later enabled).
- **Social media interaction data:** messages, comments, or emails via Instagram, if you reach out through that channel.

3. Purpose of Collection

We use collected information to:

- Respond to your inquiries via contact form or Instagram.
- Provide updates and information about youth lacrosse programs.
- Improve services and site experience if analytics tools are enabled.

4. Legal Basis & Utah Law Compliance

Under Utah law—specifically the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA) effective December 31, 2023—residents of Utah have rights to know what data is processed, to access or delete it, and to opt out of selling or targeted advertising.

Although Skyline Youth Lacrosse is a **nonprofit** and likely **below thresholds** of UCPA applicability (less than $25 million revenue, processing of fewer than 100,000 Utah consumers), we adopt best practices voluntarily.

5. Use of Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics to better understand how visitors use our Site. Google Analytics collects data such as your IP address, device type, browser, pages visited, time spent on pages, and interactions on the site. This information is anonymized and used only for improving our services and website functionality.

By using this Site, you consent to the use of cookies and similar technologies.

If you prefer not to be tracked, you may:

- Adjust your browser settings to block cookies.

- Use [Google's opt-out tool] (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

We may also display a cookie banner to allow you to manage your cookie preferences.

6. Instagram & Third-Party Tools

Your interaction with our Instagram (e.g. direct messages, comments) is governed by Instagram’s own policies. We do not store that data beyond standard messaging.

We do **not** share personal data with third parties unless required by law or with your consent.

7. Data Retention & Security

- We retain contact form submissions as long as necessary to respond and manage communication.
- We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards in line with reasonable security practices.

8. Children’s Privacy

If we collect data from individuals **under 13**, we require **parental consent** in line with COPPA and Utah law.

- Confirmation of whether your personal data is being processed.
- Access to, correction, or deletion of your data.
- Opt-out of data use for targeted advertising or sales.
